Who We Are
Each provider has extensive experience in technical rescue methods, risk mitigation, wilderness survival, and is certified as a Wilderness First Responder, EMT-Basic, or EMT-Paramedic by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. For those wilderness pursuits desiring a medical escort, we can provide a provider highly qualified in wilderness emergency medicine and technical rescue.
Where We Operate
EMS can deploy a customized team anywhere in North America. Local operations are considered to be within 150 miles of Boulder, Colorado, and we are able to operate nationally with fourteen or more days notice.
Medical Credentials
-National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians is a national body which, along with DOT, creates standards that Wilderness First Responder, EMT-Basic, and EMT-Paramedics are certified to. Our employees are certified under NREMT standards to ensure competency and homogeneity.
-Advanced Cardiac Life Support is an elevated standard for cardiac emergency care. When appropriate our employees will deploy AEDs and ACLS skills.
-Pediatric Advanced Life Support is an elevated standard for infant to adolescent emergency care. When appropriate we will deploy PALS credentialed employees.
-CPR & First Aid certification under the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Outdoor Rescue Specialists
While not a member, many employees are trained to Mountain Rescue Association protocols regarding technical outdoor rescue.
Air Ambulance capabilities when urgent transportation to emergency care is needed. We are able to identify appropriate landing zones and summon the nearest air ambulance for patient evacuation.
Avalanche Management includes competency in the use of beacons, avalanche risk assessment, and manual search techniques.
